The EasySolar-II 48V GX from Victron Energy is an all-in-one solution for optimal solar energy utilization. It integrates all essential components for a high-performance solar installation, including a converter/charger, a solar charge controller, and a GX monitoring device.

The EasySolar-II GX is easy to install and use. It offers simple system status monitoring and intelligent power management. It is also reliable and versatile, making it an ideal solution for a wide range of applications, including homes, businesses, and industrial applications.

Simplified Monitoring with LCD Screen and Wi-Fi Connection

The EasySolar-II GX offers simplified system status monitoring through an integrated LCD screen and Wi-Fi connectivity. Simplified monitoring allows for early detection and intervention in case of problems, as well as optimization of energy usage.

The integrated LCD screen displays essential system parameters, such as those of the solar charge controller, battery, and inverter. This information is available in real-time, allowing for continuous system status monitoring.

The LCD screen information can also be accessed remotely via a smartphone or any other device with a Wi-Fi connection.

Optimal Current Distribution

The EasySolar-II GX is carefully designed for efficient current distribution. It features 2 AC outputs: one main uninterrupted output and one auxiliary output linked to the battery. This ingenious configuration allows for optimal management of electrical power distribution, tailored to user needs, thus ensuring a reliable power supply.

Grid Topologies:

  • Online on the grid

The EasySolar-II GX utilizes excess photovoltaic power to charge batteries or feed energy back into the grid. It also uses energy stored in the battery or from the grid when photovoltaic production is low. In the event of a power outage, the EasySolar-II GX disconnects from the grid while maintaining power to the loads. Loads requiring deactivation when AC power is unavailable can be connected to a second output. These loads are managed by the PowerControl and PowerAssist functions to maintain the AC input current at a safe level.

  • Parallel to the grid

The EasySolar-II GX uses data from the external AC current sensor (available as an option) to optimize self-consumption and, if necessary, prevent energy feed-in to the grid. Even during a power outage, the EasySolar-II GX continues to power critical loads.

Use During Power Outages

In the event of a power outage, the EasySolar-II GX disconnects from the electrical grid and switches to island mode. In island mode, the EasySolar-II GX continues to power critical loads from the battery.

The EasySolar-II GX has a battery management function that ensures the battery is sufficiently charged to power critical loads during a prolonged power outage.

Configurable for Three-Phase Power for Increased Output

The EasySolar-II GX stands out for its remarkable flexibility in power configuration. It can be interconnected with other devices and configured for a three-phase output. This capability allows for an inverter power of 45 kW / 54 kVA, with a load capacity exceeding 600 A, making it a perfectly suited solution for large-scale installations.

Optimization of Solar Self-Consumption

The EasySolar-II GX is specifically designed to maximize solar energy self-consumption. It intelligently utilizes excess energy generated by solar modules to charge batteries, ensuring optimal use of the solar energy produced. This feature helps reduce reliance on the traditional electricity grid and optimize solar energy utilization.

Adaptive Battery Charging for Extended Lifespan

To extend battery lifespan, the EasySolar-II GX incorporates a 4-stage adaptive charging algorithm. This algorithm optimizes the charging process based on the battery type used, providing precise and tailored charging. Furthermore, it continuously monitors the battery's condition, adjusting the absorption phase duration to prevent overcharging and excessive gassing.

Compatibility with Lithium-ion Batteries

To meet the demands of connected users, the EasySolar-II GX is compatible with Victron LiFePO4 batteries. This compatibility ensures optimal performance and efficient energy management for energy storage systems.

Grid Power Injection

When the EasySolar-II GX is configured to inject electricity into the grid, it is crucial to select the appropriate setting to ensure compliance with the grid code. This allows users to remain connected to the grid while contributing to clean energy production.
