Micro Inverter - IQ8HC Enphase®

The Enphase IQ8HC microinverters are the latest generation of microinverters from the company. They are designed to be compatible with smart grids and the latest generation of high-efficiency photovoltaic modules.

The IQ8HC microinverters feature two major innovations:

• Thanks to the smart chip in the IQ8HC microinverters, electricity distribution in the home can be regulated in real-time. By optimizing energy production, you reduce electricity costs.
• The IQ8HC microinverters can be used off-grid with the IQ System Controller 2 (available in 2024). This will allow you to produce your own electricity, even during a power outage.

High Output Power

The IQ8HC microinverters have an AC output power of 380W and can be chained to increase the total power, with 9 units in single-phase and 27 units in three-phase.

Compatibility with Latest Photovoltaic Modules

The IQ8HC microinverters are compatible with all solar panel technologies up to 560Wp, including half-cell and bifacial modules.

Easy Installation

The IQ8HC microinverters attach directly to the back of the photovoltaic panels and are connected to them using quick MC4 connectors. They are easy to install and commission.

25-Year Warranty

Enphase offers a 25-year limited warranty on IQ8HC microinverters, provided they are connected to an Enphase Q decoupling relay and connected to an Enphase communication gateway Envoy-S Standard or Metered.

⚠️Envoy-S Metered or Standard Gateway Required⚠️

The IQ8 microinverters are a brand new technology that uses specific procedures.

Connection to an Envoy-S Metered or Standard gateway is essential as it performs the initial configuration of the IQ8 microinverters and automatic installation of updates. Without an Envoy-S gateway, the IQ8 microinverters will not function.

Q Relay and Q Cable Options

To meet specific production, storage, and protection needs, options such as the single-phase Q Relay or multi-phase Q Relay and the Q Cable are available. The Q Relay is an intelligent decoupling device that ensures physical disconnection from the grid in case of electrical problems, in compliance with current safety standards.

The Q Cable allows IQ8 microinverters to be connected in a continuous chain.

Compatibility Between IQ7 and IQ8 Microinverters

Enphase IQ7 and IQ8 microinverters cannot be combined on the same production chain. However, if you already have an IQ7 installation, you can add IQ8 microinverters while respecting certain conditions. It will be necessary to add a new Envoy-S Metered communication gateway as well as an additional Q-Relay.
