The Victron Energy 12V MagCode socket clip uses MagCode Power technology, an innovative magnetic connector system.
Magnets are integrated into the power port as well as the power clip. Inside the port is a movable plate which, when the clip is "pulled" in, allows electrical current to pass.
Each MagCode system is individually coded, making it short-circuit proof and preventing any incorrect coupling.
Once the clip is removed, the port is deactivated. Even if metal objects short-circuit the contacts, no fault will occur. Victron's MagCode power system is completely short-circuit proof.
It allows a simple magnetic connection to connect a 12V battery to a Victron IP65 charger. The battery must be connected to the MagCode port to establish the connection.
