Two AC outputs
The main output has an uninterrupted power supply function. In the event of a grid failure, or if shore or generator power is disconnected, the MultiPlus takes over supplying the connected loads. This transfer is so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that the operation of computers or other sensitive electronic equipment connected will not be disturbed.
The second output is only energized when AC is available on one of the MultiPlus inputs. Loads that will not discharge the battery, such as a water heater for example, can be connected to this output (second output available on models of 3 kVA and more).
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation
Up to 6 Multiplus units can be connected in parallel to achieve higher output power. For example, six 24/5000/120 units will provide an output power of 25 kW / 30 kVA and a charge capacity of 720 A.
Three-phase configuration
In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for a three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of 3 units can be connected in parallel to provide a power of 75 kW / 90 kVA and a charge capacity of over 2000 A.
PowerControl – Adapting to the limits of a generator, shore or mains power
The MultiPlus features a very powerful battery charger that draws heavily on shore or generator connections (nearly 10 A in 230 VAC per 5 kVA MultiPlus). The Multi Control control panel allows you to limit the power to be drawn from shore or generator. The MultiPlus will then take into account the power demand of other AC loads and will only use the excess for charging, thus avoiding any overload of the shore or generator supply.
PowerAssist – More power from shore or generator
This function adds another dimension to the PowerControl principle by allowing the MultiPlus to supplement the capacity of the alternative source. If a high peak power demand is required for a short period, the MultiPlus will ensure that any power shortage from the mains or generator is immediately compensated by energy from the battery. And when the demand decreases, the excess power will be used to recharge the batteries.
Solar energy.
AC power available even in the event of a grid failure. The MultiPlus can be used both off-grid and connected to a PV grid or other alternative energy systems. A grid loss detection software is available.
System configuration
- For standalone applications, settings can be changed in minutes using the DIP switch configuration procedure.
- Parallel or three-phase configuration applications can be configured with the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.
- Self-consumption, grid-interactive and off-grid applications involving grid-tied converters and/or MPPT solar chargers can be configured with assistants (specific software for specific applications).
On-site monitoring and control
Several options are available: battery monitor, MultiControl control panel, VE.Net Blue Power control panel, Color Control control panel, Smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), desktop or laptop computer (USB or RS232).
Remote monitoring and control
Victron Ethernet Remote, Venus GX and Color Control control panel. Data can be stored and displayed on our free VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
Remote configuration
If systems with a Color Control panel are connected via Ethernet, they can be accessed and their configuration modified.
