BTS 5K SOFAR battery extension kit

The BTS 5K extension base is a necessary component for extending the Sofar BTS energy storage system.

For stability reasons, a maximum of 3 BTS 5K batteries can be stacked. In case of extension to 4 elements, i.e. a nominal power of 20kWh, the entire energy storage system must be composed of two distinct units. It is not permitted to assemble a single unit with four battery modules. For a 20 kWh set, the arrangement must be two by two: two modules on a base with BMS plus two modules on another additional base.

When the system is extended to 4 elements, it is necessary to divide the system into two distinct units for safety and reliability reasons. Indeed, if one unit fails, the other unit can continue to operate. This ensures a constant energy supply for users.

The two-by-two arrangement is necessary so that each unit has sufficient power. This configuration ensures the safety, reliability, and performance of the Sofar BTS energy storage system.

The product only includes the extension base and the connectors without BMS. It is only compatible with Sofar BTS 5K batteries
