The Phoenix charger integrates an "adaptive" battery management system, controlled by a microprocessor, which can be configured for many types of lead-acid batteries. The "adaptive" function automatically optimizes the charging process according to its use. The output stage ensures galvanic isolation of the charger.
It is perfectly suited for converted camper vans, workshop vehicles, service vans, or caravans.
The Phoenix charger works using a 4-stage self-adaptive charging process, which allows the battery charge to be adjusted according to its use.
The BatterySafe mode prevents damage due to excessive gassing by limiting the charge voltage increase once the gassing voltage has been reached. It is capable of remaining continuously connected to the battery without causing overcharging.
The Phoenix charger has two main full-power outputs that can each deliver the nominal current, and one auxiliary output limited to 4A. A total cumulative current of up to 16A can be achieved.
The absorption time is adjusted according to the depth of discharge of the battery. For shallow discharges, the absorption time is shortened to prevent overcharging the battery. For deep discharges, the absorption time is increased to ensure a full recharge of the battery.
The Phoenix charger comes with a battery temperature sensor. When connected, the charge voltage automatically decreases as the battery temperature increases.
The Phoenix charger also comes with a voltage sensor to compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance.
The Phoenix charger accepts AC power from 90-265VAC and DC power from 90-400VDC. This charger can therefore accompany you wherever you are in the world.
The Phoenix charger can communicate with a computer via its RS 485 communication port. Using our VEConfig software, all charger parameters can be customized.
