10A MPPT BlueSolar Charge Controller - Victron Energy A solar charger recovers energy from your solar panels and stores it in your 12V or 24V lead batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, BlueSolar maximizes this "harvest" of energy by managing it intelligently to achieve a full charge as quickly as possible. BlueSolar keeps your battery in good condition and extends its lifespan. MPPT: Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking By constantly monitoring the voltage and current output of your solar panels (PV), MPPT technology ensures that every available particle of energy from your panels is recovered for storage. The advantage of this technology is especially noticeable when the sky is partly cloudy and the light intensity is constantly changing. Remote monitoring and control Control and supervise the multiple functions of your BlueSolar MPPT charger remotely by connecting a Bluetooth electronic key (available as an option) and pairing it with your smartphone or any other device through VictronConnect. If your installation is connected to the internet, the Victron Remote Management Portal (VRM) allows you to access the full power of your MPPT anytime, anywhere: both services are free. For remote installations without internet or nearby phone signal, you can optionally monitor your MPPT by pairing it via Bluetooth with a device equipped with LoRaWAN technology (long-range wide-area network). Load output The smart load output function prevents damage caused by using "flat" batteries. You can set the voltage at which BlueSolar will disconnect a load if necessary—preventing excessive draw on your batteries. And the most interesting part: BlueSolar will try to reach 100% recharge every day. If this is not possible—for example, during bad weather—it will increase the disconnect voltage daily until the battery is nearly fully recharged. We call this BatteryLife function because it helps maintain your battery and prolong its lifespan. BATTERYLIFE: Intelligent battery management When a solar charge controller cannot fully recharge the battery in a single day, the battery often alternates between a "partially charged" state and a "discharged" state. This mode of operation (irregular full recharge) will damage lead batteries within weeks or months. The BatteryLife algorithm will monitor the battery's charge state and, if necessary, slightly increase the disconnect level day by day (i.e., disconnect the load earlier), until the solar energy recovered is sufficient to recharge the battery to nearly 100% capacity. From then on, the load disconnect level will be adjusted so that a recharge of nearly 100% is achieved at least once a week.
