The SmartSolar MPPT 250/100-Tr VE.Can solar charge controller is a complete and reliable solution for charging solar batteries. It offers a combination of efficiency, safety, and advanced features that make it an excellent choice for a variety of applications for managing 12/24/36/48 Volt batteries.

Automatic battery voltage recognition

The controller automatically recognizes the battery voltage (12V, 24V, 48V) and adjusts accordingly

MPPT: ultra-fast maximum power point tracking.

The SmartSolar MPPT controller with VE.Can can connect to a PV array up to 250 V Voc: it will automatically detect and charge the 12, 24, or 48 V battery bank with an intensity of up to 100 A.

The charging parameters are fully programmable, and they can even be set for different types of battery chemistries, such as lead-acid, lithium, and others.

Temperature-compensated voltage correction

The internal temperature sensor adjusts the absorption and float charging voltages according to the ambient temperature, ideally between 6 and 40 °C.

Adding units installed in series

The SmartSolar controller with VE.Can has communication ports to connect to other VE.Can SmartSolar chargers. You can easily add additional units by connecting them in series using an RJ45 cable. Once connected, these units synchronize for charging and can transmit their data to a GX supervision device via a single cable, for example the Color Control GX.

Remote configuration and monitoring

Use the VictronConnect app to configure the solar charge controller over the Internet. This app is compatible with iOS and Android devices, as well as MacOS and Windows computers. This allows you to manage it and get data at a glance, such as battery voltage and current, PV voltage and current, and historical data.

SmartSolar Control Display

The SmartSolar VE.Can controller is equipped with a VE.Direct port like our MPPT solar chargers. This port can be used for a simple supervision unit or to control a light fixture. The remote on/off connector can be controlled externally by a third-party device, such as a lithium battery.

An optional integrated LCD control panel/display transmits live data, allows system configuration and management directly from its front panel.

External voltage and temperature sensor (optional) 

The Smart Battery Sense sensor is a wireless temperature and battery voltage sensor for Victron MPPT solar chargers. It optimizes charging parameters and improves battery charging efficiency, thereby extending its lifespan.
