The MultiPlus-II combines the features of the MultiPlus and MultiGrid, two energy conversion devices. It has all the features of the MultiPlus, but also offers the possibility of using an external current transformer for additional functions such as PowerControl and PowerAssist, as well as improved self-consumption management thanks to an external current sensor.
It also integrates all the features of the MultiGrid, offering protection against islanding.
With the ESS (Energy Storage System) functionality, the MultiPlus-II becomes a multifunctional inverter/charger, suitable for both marine and off-grid land applications.
The Multiplus II 800VA 48V is capable of delivering a maximum charging current of 110A.
It features a microprocessor-controlled 4-stage adaptive charging algorithm for lead-acid batteries. It also offers a storage mode to keep batteries that are little or not used in good condition.
The Multiplus II can also manage Victron's Lithium LiFePO4 Smart batteries using the VE.Bus BMS.
The main output ensures continuous power supply without interruption. In the event of a power outage or disconnection from the mains or generator, the MultiPlus-II instantly (<20ms) takes over to power the connected loads. Sensitive electronic equipment such as computers will not be disturbed.
The second output is activated only when the MultiPlus-II is supplied with AC power. This output is ideal for loads that do not use the battery, such as a water heater. It allows efficient use of available energy without unnecessarily stressing the battery.
The MultiPlus-II offers the ability to set a maximum current for the mains or generator. When configured this way, it takes into account other electrical loads and uses only the available surplus for recharging, thus avoiding any overload of the grid or generator (PowerControl function).
In case of sudden peak power demand, the MultiPlus-II compensates for the power shortage by drawing power from the battery, whether from the generator, the dock, or the grid. Once the demand is reduced, the excess power is used to recharge the batteries.
This device is the central element of Victron ESS systems, offering flexibility of use with MPPT solar chargers or grid-connected PV inverters.
In the event of a power outage, the MultiPlus-II takes over in less than 20 milliseconds, thus ensuring a continuous supply to the connected loads, without interruption, including sensitive equipment such as computers and advanced electronic devices.
Monitor and manage your Multi II systems, whether locally (LAN) or remotely via the Internet, from anywhere in the world, thanks to VRM monitoring. You can access it from various devices such as phones, tablets, laptops, or PCs with different operating systems.
With a GX device such as the Color Control GX, the control possibilities are unlimited. You can adjust your Multi equipment, automatically start a backup generator, and much more.
Three units can be configured for a three-phase output, offering installation flexibility for different applications.
Equipped with programmable analog/digital input/output ports, the MultiPlus-II offers additional flexibility for various applications and configurations.
