Description

Ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).
Especially in case of fluctuating cloudiness when the light intensity is constantly changing, a ultra-fast MPPT will yield more than a conventional PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) charge controller: up to 30% more energy generation and up to 10% more in case of slow MPPT controllers.

Advanced Maximum Power Point Detection under shading conditions
In case of shading, when one or more power cells become partially or completely shaded, the minimum string voltage will drop. The MPPT algorithm will try to find the optimum power point under these conditions. The conventional algorithms tend to get stuck on a locally optimum power point which may not be the optimum power point under all conditions. The innovative SmartSolar algorithm will always maximize the energy harvest by getting stuck on the optimum power point.

Exceptional conversion efficiency No fan. Maximum efficiency exceeding 98%.

Flexible charge algorithm
Fully programmable charge algorithm (see Software section on our website) and eight pre-programmed algorithms that can be selected with a rotary switch (see manual for details).

Extensive electronic protection

• Over-temperature protection and power derating when temperature is high. 
• PV reverse polarity protection and PV short circuit protection. 
• PV reverse current protection. 

Internal temperature sensor
Compensates the charge voltage (absorption, float) as a function of temperature.

Smart Bluetooth built-in: no need for a dongle
The wireless solution to set up, monitor, and update the controller using smartphones, tablets, or other devices with iOS and Android.

VE.Direct
For a wired data connection to a Color Control panel, Venus GX, PC or other devices.

Remote on/off For example, to connect with a VE.BUS BMS.

Programmable relay
Can be programmed (e.g. with a smartphone) to trigger alarms, or other events.

Optional: pluggable LCD display Simply remove the rubber plug that protects the connector on the front of the controller and plug in the display.
