The Victron Energy Skylla-i 24/80 (3) battery charger is a modern and powerful solution designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions such as heat, humidity, and salt air. It features numerous advanced functions for optimal battery charging management:

• Robust: Epoxy powder coated aluminum casings with stainless steel fastenings resist harsh environments. Printed circuit boards are protected with an acrylic coating for maximum corrosion resistance. Temperature sensors ensure electrical components always operate within specified limits, even in extreme environmental conditions.
• Flexible: Besides a CAN bus (NMEA 2000) interface, a rotary switch, DIP switches and potentiometers are available to adapt the charge algorithm to a specific battery and its usage conditions.
• Synchronized parallel operation: Multiple chargers can be synchronized via the CAN bus interface by simply connecting the chargers with RJ45 UTP cables.
• Temperature compensation: Each Skylla-i is supplied with a battery temperature sensor. When connected, the charge voltage will automatically decrease as the battery temperature increases.
• Power supply: Thanks to its perfectly stabilized output, the Skylla-i can be used as an uninterruptible power supply if no battery is available.
• Li-ion (LiFePO4) battery compatibility: A simple on/off command can be implemented by connecting a relay or an open collector optocoupler output from a Li-ion BMS to the remote control port of the charger. Full voltage and current control can also be achieved by connecting to the galvanically isolated CAN port.
