Ultra-fast maximum power point voltage (MPPT) tracking.
Especially in case of cloudy weather, when light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast MPPT controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Advanced maximum power point detection in shaded conditions
When a shade is present, multiple power points can be present on the power-voltage curve. Normal MPPT trackers tend to get stuck on a local MPP that is not necessarily the optimum MPP. The SmartSolar innovation will always maximize energy harvest by getting stuck on the optimum MPP.
Exceptional conversion efficiency No fan. Maximum efficiency exceeds 98%.
Flexible charge algorithm
Fully programmable charge algorithm (see Software section on our website) and eight pre-programmed algorithms that can be selected with the rotary switch (see manual for details).
Extensive electronic protection
- Over-temperature protection and power derating when temperature is high.

Compensates charge voltage Float and Absorption depending on the temperature.

For a wired data connection to a Color Control panel, Venus GX, PC or other devices.
Remote on/off
To be switched on or off by high level signals, for instance from a VE.BUS BMS.
Programmable relay
Can be programmed (e.g. with a smartphone) to activate alarms, or other events.
Optional: pluggable LCD screen
Simply remove the rubber seal that protects the plug on the front of the controller and plug in the screen to display status and allow parameter changes.
