Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking (MPPT).
Especially in cloudy conditions, when light intensity is constantly changing, an ultra-fast MPPT controller will improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Advanced maximum power point detection in shaded conditions
When a shading condition is present, multiple possible values of the maximum power point can be found on the power-voltage curve. Normally, the MPPT tracker is locked onto an local MPP that may not be the optimum power point. The revolutionary SmartSolar algorithm will always maximize the energy harvest by locking onto the optimum power point.
Exceptional conversion efficiency No fan. Maximum efficiency is higher than 98%.
Flexible charge algorithm
Fully programmable charge algorithm (see Software section on our website) and eight pre-programmed algorithms that can be selected with the rotary switch (see manual for details).
Extensive electronic protection
- Over-temperature protection and power derating when temperature is high.
- PV-input reverse polarity and PV-output short circuit.
Internal temperature sensor
Compensates the charge voltage (Float, Absorption, and Bulk) as a function of temperature.
Bluetooth Smart built-in: no need for dongles
The wireless solution to configure, monitor, and update the controller using smartphones, tablets, or other Apple and Android devices.
VE.Direct
For a wired data connection to a Color Control panel, Venus GX, PC or other devices.
Remote on/off
To be switched on or off by an external relay, for example a BMS of the VE.Bus product family.
Programmable relay
Can be programmed (e.g. with a smartphone) to switch on or off any relay, for instance for mains 230V relay control, or to start/stop a generator.
Optional: pluggable LCD screen. Simply remove the rubber seal that protects the plug on the front of the controller and plug in the screen.
