30A PWM Charge Controller - LCD - USB - BlueSolar - Victron Energy

With reliable PWM regulation, it is suitable for 12V and 24V battery systems, ensuring efficient solar energy management. It is an optimal solution for implementing a small photovoltaic system in a camper van, converted van, truck/food truck, as well as in a cabin or an isolated site. Its integrated voltage detection mechanism ensures automatic synchronization with the input voltage.

Version and Compatibility

This 30A version operates in PWM mode and automatically detects the system voltage (12V or 24V), offering versatility for various installations. It is compatible with lead-acid, gel, and lithium LiFePO4 batteries (must have integrated BMS). When used in 12V, the PV input is 360W and 720W in 24V.

Intuitive LCD Display

The integrated LCD screen simplifies configuration, monitoring, and permanent visualization of system parameters and operation. 

3 Customizable Charging Stages

The 3 charging stages (bulk, absorption, float) are fully programmable to adapt the charging process to different battery types, such as AGM, GEL, and Lithium (with integrated BMS)

2 Convenient USB Outputs

Equipped with 2 x 5V Type-A USB outputs, this controller facilitates the direct connection of small electronic devices such as chargers, night lights, fans, power banks, payment terminals (POS), and mini-fridges, adding a practical dimension to your solar installation. The 2 USB-A outputs can provide a maximum combined current of 2A.

The programmable lighting control function allows for precise management of lighting, offering flexibility tailored to the user's specific needs.

  • The charge output is equipped with versatile protection, including a low-voltage mechanism, programmable manual disconnection, and reliable overload and short-circuit protection. This configuration ensures optimal safety for your installation.
  • The controller plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate monitoring of battery charge status. It offers extensive protection, including prevention against overcurrent, short circuits, and overheating. Automatic shutdown in case of excessive load actively contributes to extending the lifespan of the entire installation.
  • A reverse polarity protection feature for solar panels and the battery is integrated to provide an additional layer of safety, preventing any risk of damage due to reversed polarity.

With a solar input capacity of up to 360W in 12V and 720W in 24V, this controller ensures optimal performance. Installation is simplified by clear guidelines, emphasizing the importance of connecting the batteries first.

⚠️Important

Before any other manipulation, ensure you connect the charged batteries first. Carefully follow the guidelines in the manual to ensure proper configuration:

  • 12V Battery System: Use exclusively the 12V solar panel device (36 cells) for this configuration.
  • 24V Battery System: For a 24V battery system, ensure you only use the 24V solar panel device (72 cells).
