Description
A MultiPlus-II with LCD screen and GX functionality
The MultiPlus-II GX integrates a MultiPlus-II inverter/charger and a GX device with a 2 x 16 character display.
Screen and Wi-Fi
The screen reads the parameters of the solar charge controller, battery and inverter.
The same parameters are accessible from a smartphone or device with Bluetooth enabled.
GX Device
The integrated GX device includes:
- A VE.Can interface. It can be used to connect Victron VE.Can devices (e.g. VE.Can MPPTs), or the port can be reconfigured using the Remote Console to be used with a lithium battery with a compatible CAN bus.
- A USB port.
- An Ethernet port.
- A VE.Direct port.
Applications
The MultiPlus-II GX is intended for applications requiring additional interfacing with other products and/or remote monitoring, such as grid-connected or off-grid energy storage systems and certain mobile applications.
Parallel or three-phase operation
A single GX unit is required for parallel or three-phase operation.
The MultiPlus-II combines the functions of the MultiPlus and MultiGrid.
It has all the functions of the MultiPlus, with an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist functions, and to optimize self-consumption with an external current sensor (32 A max.).
It also has all the functions of the MultiGrid with an anti-islanding system and a long list of certifications for many countries that continues to grow.
Note: for some time, this product has been called MultiGrid-II.
PowerAssist
The MultiPlus-II will prevent the overload of a limited AC source, such as a shore or generator connection. The battery charging process will first be automatically reduced; otherwise, an overload would occur. Then, the output of a generator or shore power will be boosted by drawing power from the battery.
ESS: Energy Storage Systems
The MultiPlus-II is the key component of a Victron ESS system as it offers the necessary flexibility to be combined with MPPT solar chargers or grid-tied PV inverters. For examples and more information, consult the ESS manual.
Uninterrupted AC Power (UPS Function)
In case of a power outage or disconnection from shore or generator, the Multi's inverter automatically switches on and resumes powering the connected loads. This transfer is so fast (less than 20 milliseconds) that the operation of computers or other electronic equipment will not be disrupted.
Remote monitoring and control
Monitor and control your system or systems locally (LAN) or remotely via the Internet, from anywhere in the world, using the free VRM app and the free VRM portal website. You can access it from a phone, tablet, laptop or PC with different operating systems. With the required Color Control GX or Venus GX, the control possibilities are limitless: whether it's adjusting your Multi or automatically starting a backup generator, and much more...
