It has all the features of the MultiPlus, with an external current transformer option to implement PowerControl and PowerAssist functions, and to optimize self-consumption with an external current sensor (32 A max.).
It also has all the features of the MultiGrid with an anti-islanding system and a long list of certifications for many countries that continues to grow.
The MultiPlus-II is a multifunctional inverter/charger with all the features of the MultiPlus, and an optional external current sensor
that allows PowerControl and PowerAssist to be increased to 50 A and 100 A respectively.
The MultiPlus-II is ideal for professional marine installations, with sailboats, vehicles, and off-grid
terrestrial systems.
It is also equipped with an anti-islanding system and has a long list of certifications for many countries that
continues to grow regarding the ESS application. Several system configurations are possible. For more
information, consult the ESS System Design and Installation Manual.
A maximum current for the generator or grid connection can be set. The MultiPlus-II will then take other AC loads into account and will only use the excess for charging, thus avoiding overloading the grid or generator supply
(PowerControl function).
The PowerAssist function adds an extra dimension to the PowerControl principle. If a high peak power demand is often required for a short duration, the MultiPlus-II will compensate for the lack of generator, shore, or grid power with energy from the battery.
When the demand decreases, the excess power will be used to recharge the batteries.
The MultiPlus-II can be used both off-grid and connected to a PV grid or other alternative energy systems. It is
compatible with both solar charge controllers and grid-connected inverters.
The main output has an uninterruptible power supply function. In the event of a grid failure or disconnection of shore or generator power, the MultiPlus-II takes over the supply of connected loads. This transfer is so fast (less than
20 milliseconds) that computers or other sensitive electronic equipment connected will not be disturbed.
The second output is only energized when AC power is available at the input of the MultiPlus-II. Loads that will not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, can be connected to this output.
Up to 6 Multi units can operate in parallel to achieve higher output power.
In addition to parallel connection, three units of the same model can be configured for a three-phase output. But that's not all: up to 6 sets of 3 units can be connected in parallel.
Settings can be changed in minutes using VEConfigure software (a desktop or laptop computer and an MK3-USB interface are required).
Several monitoring and control options are available: Color Control GX, Venus GX, Octo GX, CANvu GX, desktop or laptop computer, Bluetooth (with an optional VE.Bus Smart dongle), Battery Controller, Multi Control digital control panel.
Install a Color Control GX or other GX product for internet connection.
Operational data can be stored and displayed on our free VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
If systems are connected via Ethernet, they can be accessed and their configuration modified.
