230A 12V-24V Cyrix-Li-CT battery combiner - Victron Energy
Description
LiFePO4 Battery: it prevents undervoltage, overvoltage and overheating of the cells The first line of protection is cell balancing. All Victron LiFePO4 batteries include cell balancing. The second line of protection consists of:
turning off the load in case of imminent undervoltage on the cells, and
stopping and reducing the charging current in case of imminent overvoltage on the cells, high (>50°C) or low (<0°C) temperature.
The VE.Bus BMS is the heart of the second line of protection. However, not all loads or chargers can be controlled directly by the VE.Bus BMS In order to turn off these loads or chargers, several Cyrix switches controllable by the VE.bus BMS are available
Cyrix-Li-ct
The functionality of the Cyrix-Li-ct is similar to that of the Cyrix-ct. The Cyrix-Li-ct will connect a lead-acid starter battery and a LiFePO4 battery in parallel:
if the load disconnect output of the VE.Bus BMS is high, and
if it measures 13.4 V (26.8 V resp.) or more on either of its terminals.
The Cyrix will immediately deactivate:
when its control output becomes floating, indicating overvoltage or overheating of the cells, and/or
if the battery voltage drops below 13.2 V.
StartAssist function: a short positive pulse will close the relay for 30 seconds
A built-in transient voltage suppressor will limit voltage spikes that may occur when the Cyrix suddenly deactivates due to overvoltage or overheating of the cells.
LED status indication
LED on: active = relay closed
LED off, blinking every 10s: inactive = relay open
Only compatible with a system equipped with a Ve Bus BMS or a MiniBMS. For a lithium battery from a brand other than Victron Energy, use the classic Cyrix CT.
LED blinking every 2s: relay open; will close
